The Holtville High School Quarterback Club is inviting the community to an evening of food, fellowship, and excitement during its annual $10,000 Drawdown Fundraiser, set for Saturday, July 18, at 6:30 p.m. at 17 Springs. The event serves as one of the Quarterback Club’s largest fundraisers of the year, with proceeds directly benefiting the Holtville High School football program. Funds raised help support equipment, training, travel expenses, and other needs throughout the season. Tickets are $100 each and include one meal. About a year ago, I created a Facebook page called Holtville Social. At the time, I honestly wasn’t sure what I wanted it to become. I just knew there was something missing. Like many people in our community, I would often hear about an event after it had already happened. I’d see photos online and think, “I wish I had known about that.” Whether it was a fundraiser, a school event, a local gathering, or a new business opening, it seemed like there wasn’t one central place where our community could stay connected.
